Surgical Insurance Coverage

If this is your first time at CDH, you have recently moved or you have changed insurance plans, you may receive a call from the Registration Department, otherwise the registration process will be completed on the day of surgery at Surgery Check-In. CDH participates in most managed care plans in the Chicago area.

You can view CDH insurance plans online or call our Patient Accounts Department with any questions. You should also check with your insurance provider to verify your coverage for your specific procedure.

You should know that several of the care providers who are part of your surgical team are not employees of CDH, and contract with managed care plans independently. Your coverage for these services may be different than the coverage for the hospital, so check with your insurance carrier.
