Outreach & Events

Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) is an integral part of the community it serves. In that role, doctors and staff who are part of CDH connect with other members of the community through classes, events and health fairs. Those events are a good way to get to know the health professionals at CDH and to learn how you can take charge of your health.

Chemotherapy Classes for Patients and Families

Chemotherapy informational sessions are offered for patients and families in the CDH Infusion Center at the CDH Cancer Center. The sessions will cover:

  • Chemotherapy facts
  • Chemotherapy side effects
  • Lifestyle adjustments
  • Resources for patients and family members

When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday

Time: 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Location: CDH Cancer Center, 4405 Weaver Parkway, Warrenville, IL 60555

Dinner with the Doc

Enjoy dinner while you learn about important health topics from medical professionals affiliated with CDH.

Click for upcoming "Dinner with the Docs" programs.

Events dedicated to cancer topics will include an hour of health-promotion education, community resources and/or screenings before the oncology program.

Health Fairs, Screenings, Support Groups and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

Cancer prevention begins with knowledge. CDH regularly participates in health fairs throughout the community to educate people about what they can do to stay healthy and how to recognize early warning signs. The American Cancer Society (ACS) organizes local health fairs as well as other events. Click here for information on local ACS events.

The ACS  also manages Relay for Life, a community event that raises funds and builds awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and patient support. The Relay for Life of Glen Ellyn, Wheaton and Winfield, sponsored by CDH, is held the second weekend of June each year.
