Cadence Health Names Michael Wukitsch Executive Vice President of Human Resources

Winfield, Ill., January 23, 2014 - Cadence Health announced that Michael Wukitsch has been appointed executive vice president of human resources for the western suburban health system.  With more than 20 years of experience in multiple industries and cultural environments, Mr. Wukitsch will lead the system’s HR operations in support of the more than 7,400 Cadence employees.

“Michael has an impressive human resource background that will allow him to make an immediate impact within our system,” said Mike Vivoda, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cadence Health. “His wealth of experience and knowledge will be a great addition to our executive team.”

Mr. Wukitsch joined Cadence Health from Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver, a top-10 nationally ranked pediatric healthcare system with more than 5,200 employees and 17 network locations. He joined Children’s in 2005 as Vice President of Human Resources, and was named Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2011. Prior to joining Children’s Hospital Colorado, Mr. Wukitsch held the position of Director, Human Resources – Operations for Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colo.  He also served in a series of human resources leadership roles with Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee and was a consultant with Human Resource Management Systems, Inc., Glenview, Ill.

Mr. Wukitsch holds a master of business administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
