The Clinic at Walmart Affiliated With CDH Opens August 1, Offers Convenient, Affordable Care
CDH’s clinic inside Aurora’s Walmart expands access to basic health care services
WINFIELD and AURORA, Ill. – August 1, 2011 – Walmart (NYSE: WMT) and Central DuPage Hospital (CDH), of west suburban Winfield, today announced Aurora’s newest location for basic health care services – “The Clinic at Walmart” affiliated with CDH. The clinic will open Monday, August 1 at 8 a.m. inside the Walmart located at 2900 Kirk Road, Aurora.
The clinic will provide convenient affordable access to basic healthcare services, seven days a week, with no appointment necessary. The walk-in health clinic is the first owned and operated by CDH in a Walmart. The clinic will be open for walk-in care Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
For busy customers who need care, especially after typical business hours or on weekends, the clinic will treat common health ailments and offer routine services. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Allergy symptoms
• Camp, school and sports physicals
• Cholesterol screening
• Common vaccinations
• Cough, cold and flu
• Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
• Insect bites and stings
• Minor wounds
• Sinus infections
• Sore Throat, laryngitis and strep throat
• Upper respiratory infections
• Urinary tract infection (ages 6 and older)
“Our clinic is staffed with licensed healthcare providers, even on nights and weekends so families can walk in and know they will receive quality care without a long wait,” said Medical Director Darin Jordan, M.D.
“For the convenience of patients, all available services and associated fees are posted at the Clinic entry. The clinic is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital, which has been named a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital for five consecutive years,” said Jordan.
