CDH Nurse Achieves Advance Certification

Carol Williams CDH

WINFIELD, Ill., January 26, 2011 – Carol Williams, B.S., RN-BC, of West Chicago, Ill. recently earned a certification in informatics nursing after successfully completing the nationally recognized exam. Currently, Williams is an Epic Application Coordinator at Central DuPage Hospital (CDH).
Certified informatics nurses routinely support staff in using automated applications in their daily assignments and play an important interdisciplinary role that combines their passion for nursing with their love of technology, bringing a nursing perspective into the evaluation of innovative systems to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Williams holds an associate degree in nursing from College of DuPage and a Bachelor of Science in health arts from University of St. Francis.
Parents of two grown children, Williams and her husband, Kent, reside in West Chicago.
