Michael Vivoda

Mike Vivoda

Michael Vivoda is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Health. He has been serving the organization since 2004, most recently as president of Central DuPage Hospital.

As an experienced healthcare executive, Mr. Vivoda possesses significant expertise in operations, strategic planning, managed care insurance and multi-specialty physician group management. During his stewardship at CDH, the hospital has achieved many notable accomplishments, including a heightened commitment to service excellence, dramatic growth of the medical staff and Cadence Physician Group, expansion of the laboratory business, and orchestration of multiple strategic affiliations with such distinguished organizations as The Cleveland Clinic and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Prior to joining Cadence, Mr. Vivoda served as president and chief executive officer of the Loyola University Physician Foundation, the 400-plus member physician group at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Mr. Vivoda has also held various senior management positions at provider and managed care companies, including President and chief executive officer of Chicago Health System, a joint-venture company with University of Chicago, Vanguard MacNeal Health Network and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

In addition to his professional position, Mr. Vivoda is a member of the College of DuPage Foundation Board and serves on the advisory board of Family Shelter Services, an organization that provides housing and assistance to victims of domestic abuse. He also served as a former Chairman of the Board of the DuPage Health Coalition (Access DuPage), an organization dedicated to providing access to health care for the uninsured of DuPage County.

Mr. Vivoda earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a master of management through the Executive MBA Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
