Dan Kinsella is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Cadence Health. He has been serving the organization since 2012.
Mr. Kinsella is a seasoned healthcare executive with experience across all segments of the industry. He has established his expertise as a leader in leveraging technology to expand and enable essential business operations. Before joining Cadence, Mr. Kinsella served as a senior vice president at Optum Insight, a division of United Healthcare, where he led technology consulting within the Accountable Care Services practice. While with Optum, he also served as solution architect and program manager for an alpha site ACO client in the Southwest.
Prior to his work with Optum, Mr. Kinsella held the position of national practice leader for healthcare consulting at The Revere Group. While there he developed and managed the company’s largest industry vertical practice, facilitating healthcare CIO groups and leading engagements for hospitals, health systems and health insurance companies. Mr. Kinsella also served in leadership roles at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Andersen Consulting.
In addition to his professional positions, Mr. Kinsella is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the American Council of Healthcare Executives. He also is the co-founder and a volunteer for the Job Search Coaching Network at St. Michael’s Parish in Wheaton, Illinois.
Mr. Kinsella earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a master’s degree in health management and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
