Brian Lemon is President of Central DuPage Hospital and Executive Vice President of Cadence Health. Mr. Lemon is responsible for all CDH operations. He joined the organization in 2012, bringing with him more than 30 years of health services management experience.
Mr. Lemon’s background includes strategic planning, quality and safety management, performance improvement, and healthcare organization governance. Prior to joining Cadence, Mr. Lemon served as chief executive officer of Vanguard MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, the 427-bed Chicagoland flagship hospital of investor-owned Vanguard Health Systems. During this and a prior tenure at MacNeal, Mr. Lemon contributed to the hospital’s growth by serving in several progressively responsible management capacities, including vice president, chief operating officer, and president and CEO. Between his tenures at MacNeal, Mr. Lemon was president and CEO of Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago.
Mr. Lemon serves on the board of directors and is a member of the finance committee for the Illinois Hospital Association. He also has held positions on the boards of directors for the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council and the Chicago Hospital Risk Pooling Program; on the Arthur Andersen & Co. regional advisory board; as chairman of the American Health Walk, Near West Suburbs; and on the board of directors for the Berwyn YMCA.
Mr. Lemon earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, and his MBA from the University of Detroit.
